We are excited to welcome Brandon Johnson as the new Community Relations Intern for Goddard Public Schools and the Goddard Education Foundation!
Brandon is a senior at Goddard High School (GHS), and has participated in a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including GHS Powerlifting, Student Council, GHS Ambassadors, and the National Honor Society, where he currently serves as president. He also serves as a board member for the Kansas Association of Youth.
As he prepares for graduation, Brandon was eager to find a unique opportunity to grow his graphic design, marketing, and communication skills. After reaching out to the USD 265 Community Relations Department, he was welcomed into this internship to gain real-world experience in these areas.
Brandon has been a proud member of the Goddard Public Schools family for the past 13 years. He has strong ties to the Goddard community, not only as a resident and student, but also as the son of Stephanie Johnson, owner of Sweets By Steph Cookies, whose cookies have been enjoyed at events across the district and by the Goddard Education Foundation.
When asked why he chose this opportunity, Brandon shared that he deeply admires how USD 265 recognizes and supports students and staff while also providing opportunities for leadership and personal/professional growth. He also expressed his appreciation for the impact of the Goddard Education Foundation and public education across Kansas.
During his internship, Brandon will contribute his talents in graphic design and photography while also developing new skills in video editing and digital communication. He will support projects and initiatives for both the Community Relations team and the Goddard Education Foundation throughout the school year.
We are proud to have Brandon join the team and look forward to the creativity, leadership, and fresh perspective he will bring to this work!
